The Arizona sandstone is a hard, quartzitic based sandstone, and is sorted into many classifications of colors. Some of the colors will be Peach, Blush, Rosa, Sunburst, Classic Oak, Buckskin, Golden Buckskin, Blue Jay, Yellow Wasp, Buff, and Chocolate. These different colors of the Arizona sandstone can be blended together beautifully. The thicker layers are chopped into many different patterns. We can produce 2-4 split-face, 4-8 split-face, random chopped big block, dimensional chopped flooring pattern. We can also produce a sawn flooring pattern. Much of the flagstone is produced in slabs and stood on edge. It is sorted 1" minus, 1- 1.75", and 1.75"- 2.25" all stood on edge. Standing the stone up on edge allows it to be shipped long distances without breakage. A second grade of flagstone is the patio grade. It is smaller size pieces stacked flat on the pallet and the thicknesses range from .75" to 2.25". This grade is less expensive, but will still work well for certain applications.
