Flagstone is a random shaped flat rock; Patterened Flagstone, also called random rectangles, is flagstone that is sawn or chopped into squares and rectangles for flooring or paving applications requiring a more clean and formal look. Applications: Walkways, patios, pool decks, pool coping, stepping-stones, driveways, interior floors, porches. Can also be stacked up to build seat walls, retaining walls, flowerbed borders, and veneer walls on houses. Thickness: Range from ½" to 3" ½" to 1" - Interior floors w/ low tolerance for thickness • Thinset for interior wall veneers • Covers approx. 200 square feet per ton 1" to 1-3/4" - Referred to as "thin" flag • Use for patios, pool decks, and interior flooring bull; Installed with mortar over a concrete slab • Covers approx. 110 square feet per ton 1-3/4" to 2-1/2" - Referred to as "thick" flag and most versatile flagstone • Used for pool decks, patios, walkways, and over concrete slabs • Also used for stacking various types of walls • Can be "dry-laid" into patios and walkways, and makes great stepping-stones • Lock stone in place without using mortar by using a 5/8" crush rock base material • Covers approx. 75 square feet per ton 2-1/2" to 3" - Used for dry lay patios, walk ways, and mortared over concrete slab for driveways • Also used for stacking walls • Covers approximately 60 square feet per ton Sizes: Flagstone - Pallet or larger (1 stone per layer); Slabs can be stood up for long distance shipping without breaking. Flagstone - Regulars or patio (2-5 stones per layer). Patterened Flagstone - Typically cut on 6" multiples.
